Neumann creates wearable objects that describe our cityscapes with new spatial realities. She uses the ‘grid’ as the primary motif to represent the artificial landscape and built environment. It serves as a visual language with which to present the mutable spatial reality that we inhabit with grids that intervene; twist, fold and invert. In this way, the wearable objects are experience on the body on an intimate scale that reflect the artificial landscapes we collectively inhabit at the city and global scale.

Appearing 3D printed, this work is actually constructed by hand. Favela is part of Neumann’s third year body of work.
